Lucy Fallon sells clothes online as she struggles to find work after quitting Coronation Street

Lucy Fallon has resorted to selling her clothes online after failing to find work after quitting Coronation Street.

The 24 year old left the ITV soap in March after joining the show straight out of college at the age of 19.

But after failing to land any work after quitting the show, she has taken to social media to flog some of her personal belongings.

Posting to her 508,000 Instagram followers, she announced her virtual market, telling fans to check out her Depop page.

Depop is an app used to sell items directly to others with a social media element.

Lucy has uploaded 91 items to her Depop page, with all but five items selling out.

Some of Lucy's items sold for as little as £5, while a Mulberry croc leather handbag sold for £540.

Items still available on Lucy's store page include a silk green midi dress from ASOS, priced at £30, a Topshop dress for £18, and a Next floral wrap dress for £12.

Lucy recently spoke to The Sun about making her decision to leave Coronation Street and how she has struggled to find work due to the coronavirus pandemic.

She said: "It was really difficult to make the decision to leave, but I'd been there for five years and it was all I'd ever known.

"I'd never done theatre or anything away from Corrie and after the grooming storyline where I won quite a few awards, which was amazing, I realised if I didn't leave and try other things I might end up wondering, 'What if?'

"As I left, work was starting to pick up and take off and now everything has stopped. But I do know there are loads of people in much worse situations than me and I've been very lucky."

However, she admitted to OK! magazine in March that she wouldn't rule out a return to the soap.

She said: "I'd never say never because Bethany didn't die. I didn't leave because I didn’t enjoy it, I left because I felt like if I didn't leave now and try to experience life I would never leave.

"That wouldn't be a bad thing, but I didn't want to get to ten years down the line and think, 'I should have gone for a couple of years to experience other things'."

Lucy also told us she wouldn't consider joining any other soaps, joking: "I loved Corrie so much, it would feel like I was cheating on them!"
