Lucy Mecklenburgh shares honest mum fail after expressing milk to help with baby son’s night feeds

Lucy Mecklenburgh has shared a brutally honest mum fail with her 1.6 million followers on Instagram.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the mum-of-one, who welcomed her first child with fiancé Ryan Thomas last week, first shared a victorious snap of herself expressing milk for the evening.

The snap shows the edge of the breast pump while her little boy Roman rests on her lap. Over it, the 28 year old wrote: "Morning feed done," next to a tick sign emoji, before continuing: "Expressing for tonight so Ryan can help with his night feeds while I get some sleep".

Unfortunately for her, all her hard work went to waste as the next image on her Stories showed the former The Only Way Is Essex star holding up the almost empty bottle after the contents spilled on her bedsheets.

Over this, she placed a single GIF, which flashed: "FAIL".

Clearly upset about the situation, she then shared a third snap where she wrote over a black background: "It was a full 5oz bottle," followed by a crying face emoji.

It comes as Lucy recently reflected on the day she took her little bundle of joy home as she shared a stunning black-and-white photo of them leaving the hospital.

The snap sees a smiling Lucy holding hands with former Coronation Street star Ryan, 35, as he holds Roman's car seat.

Lucy, who recently shared a video of herself pushing her pram for the "first time", gushed alongside the image: “This was one of the most surreal moments of my life that I will cherish forever. When we left hospital to head home with our new baby.

“On our way home I’ve never seen Ryan drive so slowly & sensibly in my life. I sat in the back watching my beautiful boy.

She added: “One of the most important things to buy for your baby is a safe & reputable car seat. It was so important to us. After lots of research & recommendations from mummy friends I decided to get the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Pro i-Size infant carrier.

“Roman is one of over 50 million babies brought home in a @maxicosi_eu car seat! I chose it because of its top level safety standards. As the baby grows you can remove the inlay so I’m hoping he’ll be in it for many months to come because I never want him to grow.”
