Married At First Sight Tayah Victoria has revealed she was forced to stay indoors at Adam Aveling's home in Doncaster until the show's finale aired last week, so as not to spoil any surprises about how things panned out between them.

The couple found love in this year's series of MAFS UK and while viewers only just saw the duo vow to stay together, the scenes were filmed months ago.

Following their whirlwind romance, Tayah moved in with Adam – but the couple weren't allowed to be seen out together.

During an exclusive chat and shoot with new, the 25-year old revealed: "I've been housebound because obviously the show is still going on, so people don't actually know that Adam and I are still together."

"I've been going out and even in the gym I’ve had middle aged men coming up to me and saying ‘are you the guy out of Married At First Sight?’ And it is very surreal,” adds Adam. “It is weird.”

Previous series of the UK show have introduced us to the eager singletons, shown their weddings and honeymoons, then caught up with them to find out if they decided to stay together or go their separate ways.

But following the huge success of the Aussie version, with its cheating, recoupling and explosive dinner parties, the UK version was given a massive revamp.

This has meant the brides and grooms, such as Tayah and Adam, forged strong bonds with the other couples as they lived together in the same Brighton apartment complex and met up for regular dinners and commitment ceremonies.

“Something that people probably don’t realise is the amount of filming that goes into it,” explains Adam. “For a 30 second clip it could be four or five hours worth of filming. For every 24 hours that we spent together you’d probably see five minutes.”

“The best thing about the show was that we had such a smooth ride,” adds electrician Adam, 26. “But at the same time it’s very, very emotionally draining. It tests you.”

But the happy pair admit that going through the experience with several others made it so much better.

“One of the best things was meeting the other couples and connecting with them. We did all have such a good time together.”

But Adam confesses that being apart from their loved ones throughout the filming process was tough.

“The worst thing for me was we were away filming for a good two months and not seeing family and friends for that long, it was a long time to go. That was probably the worst thing.”
