Piers Morgan and Richard Osman were just two well-known faces who have reacted after it was announced Matt Hancock will be a contestant on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The former Health Secretary, who quit after breaking his own lockdown rules by having an affair with long-time aide Gina Coladangelo, will become the 12th celebrity heading to the Australian jungle.
Piers, 57, has since taken to Twitter and cheekily mocked the West Suffolk MP joining the reality series, which starts on Sunday.
The Uncensored presenter admitted this is the first time he has “felt sorry” for kangaroo testicles as he took a swipe at Mr Hancock.
In view of his 7.9 million followers, Piers joked: “I never thought I’d feel sorry for kangaroo testicles, but I do now. #hancock”
Social media users reacted to the news, as they shared their thoughts on the matter.
Gavin penned: “Don’t forget to vote for your friend Matt Hancock when he’s on I’m a Celeb @piersmorgan. I’m sure Ant and Dec will mock Rishi Sunak when Matt Hancock is on.”
Dan wrote: “Another reason not to watch the show.”
Andrew joked: “The best payback time for the British public,” while Matt agreed: “At least we know who’s getting voted to do all the trials now…”
