This photo ^ says a lot in retrospect, right? The last time Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis appeared together at an event was the Critics Choice Awards in January. Olivia was there representing Booksmart, the film she directed. As she moved more into producing and directing, it did feel like… I don’t know, there was more space between them. That being said, I never paid too much attention to their relationship either way, because they just seemed like an odd couple from the start. And now it looks like they’re over, per a People Magazine exclusive:
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are going their separate ways. The Booksmart director, 36, and the Ted Lasso star, 45, have split, ending their engagement of more than seven years, PEOPLE has exclusively learned.
“The split happened at the beginning of the year,” a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE. “It’s been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great co-parenting routine. The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.”
Wilde and Sudeikis share son Otis Alexander, 6, and daughter Daisy Josephine, 4.
The pair first started dating in November 2011 and Sudeikis proposed shortly after the holidays in 2012.

Yeah, they were one of those “permanently engaged” couples. After two kids and nine years together, you would think they would just call each other husband and wife or partners or something. Anyway, I didn’t think they would last as long as they did, so congrats on that. I have zero to back this up, but I have a feeling that Olivia probably has a jumpoff waiting in the wings. After her first marriage – to an Italian prince – crashed out, she talked about it and kind of shaded him publicly. I wonder if she’ll do the same this time, or if things are different with kids in the mix.
