The new trailer for the upcoming live action remake of Pinocchio has just debuted on Wednesday (August 23).
Disney‘s latest live action film sees Tom Hanks as wood carver Geppetto, who builds and treats Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were his own son.

Here’s a synopsis: Robert Zemeckis directs this live action retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy.
Also starring in the movie are Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his “conscience”; Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key as “Honest” John; Lorraine Bracco as Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans as The Coachman; plus Kyanne Lamaya as Fabiana and Jaquita Ta’Le as her marionette Sabina, Giuseppe Battiston as Stromboli and Lewin Lloyd as Lampwick.
This new film will feature songs from the original, including Cynthia‘s version of “When You Wish Upon a Star,” as well as new original songs composed by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard.
Pinocchio will premiere on Disney+ on Disney+ Day, September 8th!
