The shocking trial of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, with its myriad new revelations about the rich and powerful men who allegedly partook of his underage women on his “Pedophile Island” or “Lolita Express”… will not happen.
Epstein’s suicide — or whatever the true cause turns out to be — may have protected most of his extremely high profile co-conspirators for the time being; certainly Slick Willie and Teflon Don aren’t being held to the fire right now.
But there’s one who was outed years ago who hasn’t been able to slip out of the spotlight of suspicion. And for some reason, Prince Andrew believed he could satisfyingly answer questions about his association with Epstein!
In a landmark “no holds barred interview” on BBC Newsnight, the Duke of York sat down with reporter Emily Maitlis and tried to defend himself — with rather disastrous results!
Here are some of the lowlights from the awful interview…

I Do Not Recall…
Andrew’s first defense? Deny till you die!
Accuser Virginia Giuffre (formerly Roberts) claims in a lawsuit that Epstein and associate Ghislaine Maxwell forced her to have sex with Prince Andrew three times, once when she was just 17 years old.
But the Prince isn’t just denying the sex — he says they never met!
“I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever. It just never happened.”
Duke. Dude. There are photos of the two of you together!
Yeah, about that… He also says:
“I have absolutely no memory of that photograph ever being taken.”
Well, luckily photo evidence isn’t subjective. We can all see it for ourselves whether he claims no memory of it or not. It’s not like he can say if he doesn’t remember it, it simply isn’t real… right?
Well…
“I don’t remember that photograph ever being taken. I don’t remember going upstairs in the house because that photograph was taken upstairs and I am not entirely convinced that… I mean that is… that is what I would describe as me in that… in that picture but I can’t… we can’t be certain as to whether or not that’s my hand on her whatever it is, left… left side.”
OMG, is he serious?? He’s implying this was some photoshop work? A deep fake? This pic has been around for YEARS. Does he want us to believe the people who made Jurassic Park were enlisted to fake this photo or something??
If The Deodorant Doesn’t Fit, You Must Acquit?
In one of the oddest defenses we’ve ever heard, Prince Andrew attempts to discredit Virginia’s story by pointing to a specific statement she made saying he “sweated profusely” when they danced together.
He claims that was impossible — because he was physically unable to sweat at the time! Seriously! He says:
“I had suffered what I would describe as an overdose of adrenalin in the Falkland’s War when I was shot at and I simply… it was almost impossible for me to sweat.”
Well, that seems like a very easy statement to disprove. Oh, except, he got better. He continues:
“It’s only because I have done a number of things in the recent past that I am starting to be able to do that again.”
Wow. That is a heck of a defense.
Obviously over the past few months he’s been sweating the accusations of his misdeeds with his old pal Jeffrey.
Jeffrey Who?
In a particularly insulting bit of spin, Prince Andrew tries to reframe his entire friendship with Epstein. He says:
“It would be, to some extent, a stretch to say that as it were we were close friends. I mean, we were friends because of other people. And I had a lot of opportunity to go to the United States, but I didn’t have much time with him.”
Yes, we know all of our minor acquaintances invite us to stay at their homes on a semi-regular basis. Come on now!
BTW, Andrew says he met Epstein through their mutual friend Ghislaine Maxwell, who –let’s not forget — stands accused of being the right hand woman to some sex trafficking of minors. We can only imagine how Andrew’s friendship with her will devolve into “barely know her” territory as the water she’s in gets hotter.
The Queen Believes Him??
Despite the incredulity shared by seemingly everyone else who watched the interview, the Royal Family is apparently firmly backing their black sheep.
According to a Buckingham Palace speaking to the London Evening Standard, Her Majesty will not be commenting publicly on the matter but that she and the other senior royals “back and believe” him “100%”.
The source says:
“His Royal Highness has the backing of the Queen and his close family, they believe in him totally and think he has shown strength for telling the truth and admitting errors he has made.”
Wow. Is it just us or is this the ultimate version of the Family Feud team clapping and shouting “GOOD ANSWER” after the worst game show answer of all time?
BTW, here’s the entire interview if you want to watch and judge Prince Andrew’s credibility for yourself:
Now if only some other Epstein pals would be confident enough to give interviews about their association with a man convicted of having sex with a 14-year-old and charged with trafficking young women to many others…
