Rebekah Vardy questions real motive behind Coleen Rooney’s betrayal

Rebekah Vardy says she is mystified by Coleen Rooney's decision to publicly 'annihilate her' in the press this week.

In her first interview since Coleen accused her Instagram account of selling stories to the press, Rebekah protested her complete innocence and questioned her frenemies motives in hanging her out to dry.

"It makes me wonder if there is more to this than meets the eye. For someone to go public with something like this, there has to be something bigger behind it," mused Rebekah as she spoke to the Daily Mail.

"I keep on thinking about it and trying to figure it out. It's like trying to work out how someone does a magic trick. I don't know what the reason is — if I had the answer I would be over the moon," said Rebekah.

'I don't have any hatred or bitterness. She did what she thought was necessary. That was her decision and she will have to live with it."

On Wednesday, a seven months pregnant Rebekah was stunned to see Coleen accuse her of leaking private stories from her Instagram to the press. She was subsequently bombard with messages of hate from cruel trolls who even targeted her unborn baby.

Rebekah, 37, hit back in a furious statement of her own, insisting that Coleen should have called her first and allowed her to explain that multiple people have access to her social media passwords.

Rebekah said Coleen's claims had been particularly hurtful, not only because she says they weren't true, but because she has been a loyal friend to the Rooneys over the years.

But Rebekah said she will not want an apology from Coleen when she can prove her innocence.

"I think it's gone beyond an apology, hasn't it?' Rebekah scathed.

Yesterday, a spokesperson for Rebekah said that she was working with forensic evidence to find out who had access to her Instagram and when in attempt to prove she wasn't the one selling out Coleen's stories.

Rebekah was said to be 'inconsolable' after the drama and is determined to do whatever it takes to clear her name.
