As the founder of the lingerie brand Savage x Fenty, it only makes sense that Rihanna would show up to the premiere of her fashion show in, well, lingerie. On Wednesday, the "Pon de Replay" singer arrived on the red carpet for the New York City premiere of her Savage x Fenty Vol. 3 show wearing her underwear as outerwear — as our girl RiRi typically does.
The multi-hyphenate wore a black plunging top with waist-high slits that revealed sheer lace short shorts and matching thigh-high stockings underneath, which she paired with open-toe platform pumps. She layered together a long necklace and silver choker, diamond-encrusted stacked bracelets, and silver drop earrings. Her hair was styled straight and with a new set of bangs that touched down across her smoky eyes. She finished things off with a glossy nude lip — no doubt from her Fenty Beauty collection.
While on the carpet, the businesswoman shared some new information about her upcoming album. After years of fans (ahem, us) begging for new music, Rihanna revealed that she's finally releasing a ninth album, teasing that it is going to be very different from her usual hits.
"You're not going to expect what you hear. Just put that in your mind," she told AP. "Whatever you know of Rihanna is not going to be what you hear." She continued, "I'm really experimenting. Music is like fashion. You should be able to play. I should be able to wear whatever I want. I treat music the same way. So I'm having fun and it's going to be completely different."
The highly anticipated Savage x Fenty Vol. 3 show will air on Amazon Prime Video this Friday, September 24, (tomorrow!) and has a star-studded lineup — including everyone from Gigi Hadid to Jeremy Pope to Ricky Martin and more. Cancel my plans, please.
