If you’re a fan of iconic reality TV, I’m sure you’ll be aware that The Hills returned to our screens with a fresh new reboot on Monday night.
The Hills: New Beginnings follows the lives of original cast members including Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby and Whitney Port, as well as new addition Mischa Barton.
However, the revival hasn’t been without its controversies. Within hours of the first episode airing, Brody Jenner found himself the subject of a backlash after he misgendered Caitlyn Jenner twice in a conversation with his friend, Frankie.
And now Spencer Pratt has created drama of his own with comments about the paternity of Audrina Patridge’s three-year-old daughter.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Audrina met her ex-husband Corey Bohan during an early episode of The Hills. But she ended up embarking on the most off/on romance in the history of television by choosing to date the man so great he needed two names, Justin Bobby, instead.
However, Audrina and Corey reconnected towards the end of the show’s run and, after seven years of dating, married and had a daughter, Kirra, in 2016. But a year later, Audrina filed for both divorce and a restraining order against Corey, accusing him of physical and emotional abuse. The charges were dropped in March this year.
When The Hills reboot was announced, Corey filed his own court orders to prevent Kirra appearing on the show.
And in a recap of the season’s opening episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, Spencer Pratt made some less-than-favourable comments about Corey, including describing him as “the world’s worst ex”.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Spencer said: “That guy went off the deep end on social media when he saw she was filming. He kept tagging me in pictures saying: ‘Audrina is disgusting to be hanging out with Heidi and Spencer.’ From what I read on TMZ, he’s the world’s worst ex. It made me feel sorry for Audrina.”
And he went on to suggest that Corey isn’t Kirra’s biological father — especially after witnessing the “chemistry” between Audrina and Justin Bobby in the first episode.
He said: “Audrina and Justin Bobby had some crazy chemistry. What was all that talk about Justin Bobby doing things to Audrina that her husband never did? I want to know whose baby that is. How do we know it’s not Justin’s baby? Let’s get a DNA testing kit for the reunion. Get a whole lab in there for a dramatic reveal.”
Well, Corey has now hit back at Spencer on Instagram, describing his comments about Kirra’s paternity “vile and disgusting”.
Corey wrote: “You can say whatever filth you want about YOUR family, cast-mates or even myself, but I draw the line when it comes to MY daughter. Kirra is an innocent three-year-old child. Joking about the validity of who her father is, is vile and disgusting. I would hope that since you’re now a father yourself you’d have more tact and understanding, but I can’t say that I’m surprised.”
“The things you say publicly will be accessible to my daughter forever and I will continue to do everything in my power to not expose her to such nonsense,” he continued.
Corey added: “Keep her out of your attempts to stay relevant ya fuck,” before saying Cosmopolitan should feel “ashamed” for “giving this wanker the time of day.”
Corey ended the caption by calling Audrina out as well, writing: “How shameful the mother of my child would not put an end to this immediately. #attentionseekingfucks #pissofyawankers.”

Oi ya Kook @spencerpratt. It’s clear that you will do and say anything to keep your name in the headlines, even if that means dragging your family through the mud. You can say whatever filth you want about YOUR family, cast-mates or even myself but I draw the line when it comes to MY daughter. Kirra is an innocent three year old child. Joking about the validity of who her father is, is vile and disgusting. I would hope that since you’re now a father yourself you’d have more tact and understanding, but I can’t say that I’m surprised. The things you say publicly will be accessible to my daughter forever and I will continue to do everything in my power to not expose her to such nonsense. Keep her out of your attempts to stay relevant ya fuck. @cosmopolitan @usweekly you should be ashamed of yourself for giving this wanker the time of day. How shameful the mother of my child would not put an end to this immediately. #attentionseekingfucks #pissofyawankers
