Colmar A.G.E Appoints New Creative Director for Upcoming FW21 Collection

Italian luxury outerwear experts Colmar first introduced its Advanced Garment Exploration (A.G.E) venture three years ago. Launched as its hyper-modern counterpart, the heritage brand presents its focused efforts on experimentation and product innovation through this sub-label.

Since its conception, Colmar A.G.E has regularly hosted acclaimed designers to reinterpret its archives. From previously joining forces with Hood By Air’s Shayne Oliver in FW19 to unveil an array of 3-M skiwear-inspired jackets, and a year later enlisting Yosuke Aizawa’s White Mountaineering for a collection ranging from jackets to T-shirts crafted using high-performance technical fabrics, the label continues to deliver unique and multi-functional outerwear pieces.

Now gearing up to officially announce its third drop, Colmar A.G.E appoints Iranian designer Morteza Vaseghi as the collection’s creative director. Better known for transcending his conceptual thinking into paper form through his publishing projects Recens Paper and Wallet, Vaseghi is ready to apply his skills to wearable garments. Joined by long-term collaborator and co-founder of the publications, Norwegian cultural entrepreneur Elise By Olsen will serve as the collection’s head of communications.

Colmar A.G.E under Vaseghi’s creative direction aims to look ahead to bring sustainability to the forefront. Adopting a laboratory approach to fashion by introducing futuristic organic forms to the collection, the FW21 launch intends to translate a progressive vision of the holistic relationship between humans and nature.
