Converse is pushing its iconic Chuck 70 Low model back to the frontlines and serving it up with a paradise getaway-ready “Tropical Shirt” theme. For this new take, the One Star imprint partnered up with Beyond Retro — a vintage clothing retailer with that has stores located in the UK and Sweden — to source second-hand Hawaiian shirts from across the US to craft these kicks. Each pair is one-of-a-kind, and bears its own distinct textures, patterns and hues.
Rife with aloha spirit, the base layers opt to go with the duo-panel design aesthetic. On the lateral sides of this particular pair, you’ll find a vivid burst of orange and yellow tie dye that are marked with white floral patterns, while the medial sides elect to go with contrasting maroon backgrounds and green leafy graphics. The 100% recycled shoe strings and the tongues arrived in matching fashion as they are both injected with an “Egret” hue, while metallic silver finishes are distributed to the eyelets. Rubber toe caps and midsoles round off its entire look with a “Sail” paint job.
If interested in copping a pair, you can expect these to drop on April 22 for $90 USD via Converse.
In case you missed it, Converse CONS recently teamed with Pop Trading Company for a Miffy-inspired collection.
