The first stop on his tour is Cookies N’ Kicks, a store that offers walls of rare sneakers in a rainbow assortment of colors. Although DeStorm wears a fresh pair of white Converse sneakers, he climbs a ladder to grab some pairs of Jordan 1s to try on. Bringing a relaxed approach to style both on-screen and in real life, he pairs his cozy outfit to the highly coveted Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in the “Dark Mocha” colorway.

Apart from shopping, DeStorm seeks inspiration by browsing through his favorite comic books. DeStorm takes a short walk on Melrose to Golden Apple Comics, a locally owned spot. “I grew up collecting comic books,” he says while walking through aisles of graphic novels, games and collectibles — a real life interest that helps him portray his gaming character in the movie.

To end his tour, DeStorm heads to Sushi Dan in Studio City, which is his favorite place to take friends who are visiting L.A. Offering modern twist on traditional sushi offerings, he recalls his busy filming schedule where he spent time in Chicago, then Abu Dhabi before finally catching his breath in L.A. Finishing with macaron ice cream sandwiches for dessert, he leaves the restaurant feeling recharged for his next endeavor.

To catch more of DeStorm Power’s personality and quick-witted style of comedy, watch as he plays Brandon Jenkins in North of the 10, which is available to stream now on BET+.
