With Erdem Moralioglu’s eponymous label ERDEM, the inclusion of floral prints and embellishments has always been a focal stylistic choice. Now the brand’s design signature has been extended to a new line of throw blankets, which marks ERDEM’s debut venture into homeware.
The new collection features six woven jacquard blankets constructed from merino wool and cashmere for a soft feel. Crafted in Scotland, the pieces include ERDEM’s floral motifs from previous runway collections in camel, navy, gray, black, burgundy and olive green colorways with patchwork-style designs. Finishing off the blankets are fringed trims and traditional whipstitching along the edges.
Earlier this month, the London-based label unveiled its FW22 menswear collection inspired by 20th-century photographers, Dora Kallmus a.k.a. Madame d’Ora and Yevonde Middleton a.k.a. Madame Yevonde. Marking ERDEM’s second menswear collection, the offering was brought to life through an array of fabrics and rich colors. Men’s tailoring consisted of wide, peaked lapel suits in dark gray and embroidered cotton drill suits with multicolored floral designs reminiscent of botanical photogram techniques. Additionally, overcoats served as a collection highlight with bouclé wool and brushed alpaca fabrics in rust and pale yellow.
Retailing for $1,470 USD, the throw blanket collection is available now on ERDEM’s website.
