Haroshi to Release Three New Sculptures at Cat Art Show 2021

Susan Michals is a journalist and curator who has worked with the likes of Dustin Hoffman and Robert Downey Jr., along with producing award-winning documentaries, such as This is Orsen Welles. However, chief amongst her interests is a love of cats — so much so, that in 2014, she started CatCon and the Cat Art Show.

The event has grown to the point that it has become the premier cat art expo in the world. To complement this year’s event, acclaimed Japanese artist, Haroshi, has created three intricate wooden sculptures. An owner of three cats himself, Haroshi uses his signature material — recycled skateboard decks — to make elaborate feline figures that appear as if they belonged to an ancient civilization.

Cat Art Show 4: A New Beginning will present the work of over 70 different artists spanning 16 different countries. The Los Angeles-based event started today and will end on October 24. To purchase tickets, please visit the company website.
