Here's a Closer Look at the Daniel Arsham x Stone Island Mercedes-Benz Unimog 404

The Mercedes-Benz Universal Motor Garat (Unimog) was built between 1948 and 1938 as a utility vehicle made for agricultural overlanding and navigating extreme terrain. Fast forward to today, the Unimog is now a coveted collector’s vehicle, finding a fanbase in the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the global elite racing circuit for its unique aesthetic and vintage feel. Looking to bring this piece of automotive history back to life, Rally, a real stock market for collectibles, works with Daniel Arsham and Stone Island for a 1-of-1 Unimog 404 built as a traveling maintenance and rescue race companion.

The Unimog 404 customization arrives as part of Stone Island and Daniel Arsham’s “Safari” project which debuted in early 2022. The Unimog was made to accompany a custom off-road 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo on long-distance rallies in case rescue or repair was necessary. The body and interior feature design work from Arsham with bespoke Stone Island Tela Stella covering the bed of the truck.

While the Porsche will remain in Arsham’s personal collection, the Unimog 404 is being sold as a true security qualified by the SEC, fractionalized into 6,750 shares for investors at $20 USD per share.

Once all initial offering shares are sold, the Unimog 404 will be stored and maintained in Rally’s east coast facility alongside the entire fleet of Rally vehicles set to debut this Spring. At checkout, investors will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase a signed numbered edition print of the automobile which also serves as a stock certificate. Only 200 will ever be created and one random purchaser will receive the original sketch. More details can be found here.
