Kylie Minogue gave us more than one surprise during her Ghosts sketch for Red Nose Day – with Jason Donovan making a surprise appearance.
37 years after starring in Neighbours, the pair reunited on our screens as Jason was called in to help prove that Kylie was in fact… Kylie.
The Comic Relief sketch saw the Australian singer arrive at Ghosts setting Button House to see if it’s a suitable concert venue, only to give all the residents quite the shock of their lives.
After Kylie is left alone with the ghosts, she shocks them and announces: ‘Right everyone shut up!’ revealing she can, in fact, see and hear them.
Explaining how she has the supernatural power, she says: ‘You know the rollerskating montage in the Spinning Around video? I had a fall, banged my head, and now I can see Ghosts.
‘I know that sounds hard to believe,’ she continues, before being interrupted by the Ghosts and dispelling some myths they thought about her.
But they still weren’t convinced it was the real Kylie.
The Can’t Get You Out of My Head singer was forced to ring back-up to prove herself… in the form of Jason.
‘You’re Kylie Minogue,’ he insisted, and while his cameo was short and sweet, it sent fans wild.
‘Loved that little Ghosts Sketch with @kylieminogue and even a quick Jason Donovan moment. Brilliant,’ one person wrote.
Another penned: ‘A great #ComicRelief instalment of #BBCGhosts with Kylie (and Jason) I enjoyed that. I like the story.’
‘Highlight of the night! Can’t believe Kylie can see the Ghosts, brilliant twist. Congratulations and Thank You,’ someone else commented.
A fourth wrote: ‘Think it’s already peaked with #ghosts & #kylie’.
Comic Relief is airing on BBC One and available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
