KEF Introduces Small, Yet Powerful KC62 Uni-Core Subwoofer

KEF has just pulled back the curtains to its KC62, a powerful force-canceling subwoofer. It’s the speaker company’s latest marvel of engineering, and it uses a newly developed technology — patent-pending — that faithfully reproduces the sound of a tune’s original recording.

Don’t let the KC62’s humble appearance fool you. It packs a twin six-and-a-half-inch Uni-Core driver, complete with 1000W RMS Class D amplification packing far more excursion than traditional force-canceling designs. The subwoofer also comes with smart distortion control technology and a P-Flex pressure-resistant surround design, so you can take full advantage of the speaker’s versatility. KEF has kept KC62’s design sleek and minimal in monochromatic colorways with compact-sealed aluminum cabinets. Those who enjoy a neat aesthetic will appreciate the speaker’s KW1 adapter kit that enables wireless operation. Furthermore, the speaker boasts iBX technology, SmartLimiter and Room Placement settings to meet the needs of any set up at home.

KEF’s KC62 Uni-Core subwoofer is currently available on KEF’s website for £1,400 GBP (approximately $1,913 USD).
