Uneven terrain, potholes and moisture are just a few of the challenges trail runners face almost every time they venture out. Whether it’s a hazardous tree root, a slippy bank or even a sheer drop, having the right footwear for the occasion is a must. Luckily, as we approach trail running’s favorite time of year, New Balance has unveiled the latest evolution of its durable Hierro series, in the Fresh Foam X Hierro v7.
An updated take of last year’s “Ghost Pepper/Habanero” v6, this latest iteration — which arrives in either “Golden Hour/Dark Camo” or “Thunder/Vibrant Orange/Vibrant Apricot” — employs a reliable Vibram megagrip outsole and New Balance’s signature Fresh Foam X cushioning for enhanced on-foot comfort.
Designed specifically for off-road application, the Hierro v7 comes equipped with some of New Balance’s most innovative running technology, as well as a synthetic and mesh upper with a breathable yet protected construction, perfect for warmer months.
Both iterations of the Fresh Foam X Hierro v7 are available to buy now from the New Balance webstore, retailing at £130 (approximately $170 USD).
In other footwear news, Nike has moved the Mercurial lineage forward with its new Vapor Next Nature.
