Continuing to add new renditions on the Ewing 33 Hi, Ewing Athletics has now put together a take inspired by Patrick Ewing’s 1993 MLB All-Star Celebrity Home-Run Challenge appearance. Honoring New York’s baseball legacy, the Ewing 33 Hi “Bronx” reimagines the shoe as a baseball-themed PE sneaker in a world where Ewing became a baseball player instead of taking to the hardwood.
One of four shoes that draw from the original New York team, Ewing Athletics tapped DJ Juanyto from Hot 97 and Apple Music as part of the campaign.
The Ewing 33 Hi “Bronx” features clean white leather uppers paired with overlays with navy blue pinstripes. The New York Yankees look is further detailed with red eyelets, blue laces, ankle straps, and padded sockliners. Branding elements include reimagined baseball Ewing Athletics motifs at the tongue, Patrick Ewing Signature, embroidery at the rear, and printed insoles. Finishing up the design of the shoe are white and navy blue midsoles paired with rubber outsoles.
Each pair of Ewing 33 Hi “Bronx” also comes complete with a special navy blue and red shoebox.
Priced at $150 USD, the Ewing 33 Hi “Bronx” is available now exclusively on the Ewing Athletics website in limited quantities.
