Reebok Pump Omni Zone II Returns in "Chalk"

Reebok brought the OG Pump Omni Zone II — a shoe that was immortalized by Dee Brown in the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest — back in February, and now the retro hoops silhouette is expanding its arsenal with a new “Chalk” colorway. Combining a lifestyle-geared palette with all the classic ’90s hoops flair that the Omni Zone II is known for, the “Chalk” is a welcomed take on one of Reebok’s most influential basketball silhouettes.

Uppers are constructed of two main materials: the “Chalk” leather that gives the shoe its name and a sporty navy mesh. Apart from the signature basketball-themed Pump button on the tongue, the midfoot provides the most interesting design details. There, wavy overlays reach up to the eyestays to serve as anchor points while working with an embroidered Reebok spellout graphic towards the heel.

Moving onto the heel in full, there’s a tri-color Hexalite embellishment for a nod to the shoe’s signature cushioning system. Further detail is supplied by an air release valve next to the aforementioned Pump button, and aged, eggshell-toned midsoles add more pops of navy and orange to complete the look.

The Reebok Pump Omni Zone “Chalk” will release at retailers like Afew come May 1. Its MSRP is set at a standard $140 USD.
