Sarah Michelle Gellar reunited with her Buffy The Vampire Slayer co-stars Seth Green and Emma Caulfield.
It has been more than two decades since we first got a glimpse at the iconic Buffy Summers, played expertly by Sarah, as she took on demons, the undead and high school in equal measures.
And it looks like the cast are still as close as ever!
The Scooby Doo actress, 46, posed alongside Seth (Oz) and Emma (Anya) during Ed Sheeran’s concert in California.
She captioned the post: ‘My daughter wanted her 14 bday party to be at @teddysphotos concert at @sofistadium.
‘Her guest list may not have been what you expected (also swipe to last pic to see how to make a concert tee a great dress) Also I really love these people.’
And of course fans were losing their minds.
One person wrote: ‘My little buffy heart cannot take this .’
Another added: ‘A slayer, a werewolf, and a vengeance demon walk into a bar. 🔥🔥🔥.’
A third replied: ‘So wonderful to see you together after so many years. True friendship always lasts.’
The reunion snap comes after new spin-off was confirmed which sees James Marsters’ Spike taking the lead role, and he’ll be joined by a bunch of familiar faces that longtime fans will be happy to see again.
The reboot Slayers: A Buffyverse Story, will also be different from the original in that it is audio-only and will be set 10 years after the TV finale
‘Since then, Spike has gone deep undercover in Los Angeles, convincing the forces of darkness that he’s back to his evil ways,’ the description teases.
Of course, nothing is ever straightforward and things go wrong quickly.
‘When his cover is compromised by 16-year-old Indira Nunnally (Laya DeLeon Hayes), Spike finds himself on baby-slayer-sitting duty once more.
‘While he attempts to track down a watcher for his eager new protégé, their paths collide with the veteran Slayer of a parallel reality where Buffy Summers never existed…a reality where Cordelia Chase is the one-and-only Slayer.
‘She needs Spike’s help with a classic big bad terrorizing her world…his old flame, Drusilla.’
James, 61, is happy to be back on board and reunited with his former colleagues on the new project.
‘I’m ecstatic to be back with my dear friends for this next chapter in the Buffyverse, as we take listeners on a familiar but unexpected journey chock full of horror, passion and mischief,’ he shared.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is available to stream on Amazon Prime TV. Slayers: A Buffyverse Story is set to premiere October 12
