The summer season has been active for LEGO as it recently announced its celebratory Cinderella Castle Set to celebrate Disney‘s 100th film anniversary and unveiled a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Set for all of the classic car collectors out there. And to further along its energy this month, the toy imprint has just unveiled its most expensive technic set ever: the $700 USD Liebherr Crawler Crane.
When the boom of its crane is in its upright position, the massive piece stands at just over 39 inches tall. It’s equipped with a duo of tank treads and features an upper structure that has 360 degree rotating capabilities. The crane is fully functional and features an articulated boom arm and a hook that raises and lowers by its pulley system. The 2,883-piece set’s motors can be remotely controlled via Bluetooth by using LEGO‘s smartphone app. Additionally, you’re going to need to power up the structure with AA batteries on occasion, and these do not come packaged in the box.
Looking to add this piece to your home? It won’t officially be available to the public until August 1, but a pre-order is open via the LEGO website right now in case you wanted to secure yours.
