Tom Dixon and Vitra Come Together For "Liquid" Bathroom Range

Tom Dixon and Turkish bathroom manufacturer Vitra announced their new collaborative “Liquid” bathroom collection encompassing all-white ceramic sanitaryware, taps with simple controls, and more functional and stylish products combining Dixon’s unique attention for detail and Vitra’s high-quality manufacturing.

The British designer previously revealed that the range is heavily influenced by Victorian plumbing, which he described as “big chunky taps and fat tubes” that give a “feeling of permanence.” With the intention to counter the current trend for skinny bathroom designs, Dixon’s first-ever bathroom pieces are generously larger and see soft-edged and bulbous elements of his recent work, which in turn contributes to ease in cleaning in a safe environment. Other inspiration came from pop art such as Jeff Koon‘s Balloon Dog, as well as a kid’s sketch for transparency in the products’ simple usage.

From taps and showers in chrome or modern gloss black finish to wall tiles available in black, white, grey, sage green and ecru, the collection consists of distinctive materials and colors for a contemporary makeover of the bathroom.
