TOMBOGO's "NATURE IS HEALING" SS22 Collection is a Celebration of the World's Return to Normalcy

Picking up right where he left off from his Fall/Winter 2021 “LOST & FOUND” Collection, TOMBOGO has returned to the spotlight to unveil his newest “NATURE IS HEALING” SS22 collection at New York Fashion Week. This newest assemblage is a celebration of society’s gradual return to normalcy and strikes a healthy balance between street style and elevated design language.

The runway show — which was held at Spring Studios in NYC — was designed with a striking stage design that featured a plethora of house plants, mirrored fences, metal shelves that displayed items such as coffee table books. motorcycle helmets and wooden benches, all of which were surrounded by white beams that created the silhouette of a tiny hut.

For this new collection, TOMBOGO still stuck to his signature utilitarian-focused style, but emphasized earthy tones and versatile silhouettes. Some of the stand-outs from the capsule include a two-piece worker jacket and pants combination that is adorned with heat-map graphics, a baby blue waffle knit button-up shirt and puffer vests and jackets that were designed in olive green and bold orange hues. Additionally, the Bay Area-bred designer showed off more convertible double knee denim pants that arrived with oversized pockets buttoned all over the garment and cropped tank tops made of thermal materials. Other products to call out include that of the flower pot-inspired handbags and new assortment of headwear styles.

There were also some unique elements to the show that caught the crowd’s attention. Some of the models were seen picking up a book as they walked through the tunnel, one of the male participants walked with a head full of nails embedded into his dreadlocks and a few of the models even came in on motorized scooters when they walked the runway for a second go-around.

The TOMBOGO “NATURE IS HEALING” SS22 presentation also featured artist collaborations with Kyle by Kyle and original music by Tommy Bogo.
