Following an initial announcement back in May, during the recent Microsoft Xbox mini-showcase a gameplay trailer for the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake was unveiled. The look at the game reveals that the 2004 PlayStation 2 classic has been given an update in Unreal Engine 5.
Paying respect to the original, the stealth action game has been reimagined to meet current gaming standards while maintaining the aesthetic and style of the Fox Engine graphics. The “first in-engine look” offers a look at the graphics and Naked Snake along with the reveal that the titular character can now move while crouching.
The Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake from Konami features art and outsourced development from Singaore-based studio Virtuos. Although original director Hideo Kojima and original artist Yoji Shinkawa are not involved in the project, the game will use the original voice performances.
