We May Never See How the 'Berserk' Manga Ends

Following the death of creator Kentaro Miura due to acute aortic dissection, the fate of the Berserk manga is now unknown. Around the news of Miura’s death, the editorial department of Young Animal Comics stated, “the news of Miura’s sudden passing has blanketed the Young Animal editorial department in deep sadness.” Since then Young Animal Comics has remained quiet about the future of the beloved series.

Before Kentaro Miura’s death, the Berserk manga which debuted back in 1989 was reported as being 70 percent completed. Young Animal Comics recently replied to a fan who noted it was nerve-racking that nothing has been announced regarding the Berserk manga on Twitter.

“We apologize for that, and the state of Berserk hereafter is undecided,” replied the publication. “As soon as it is decided, there will be an announcement in Young Animal, so please wait for that,” adding to the uncertainty of the fate of the Berserk manga.
