9 Best comfy bras for 2022: we tested out some staple styles for all-day comfort | The Sun

YES, unclipping your bra after a long day feels great, but the best comfy bras are so comfortable that you don't mind leaving them on.

In 2022, going braless or wearing one without padding or wires is popular, but when you've got bigger boobs than a B cup, it isn't always feasible.

Every woman deserves to be supported by her bra but that doesn't mean it has to resemble a suffocating straight jacket that you can't wait to take off.

There are so many which prioritise comfort over sex appeal, but when you know where to shop you can tick both off your checklist.

It should be a human right to know where to shop the best comfy bras around, so we've tested out some super snug styles.

Calvin Klein Women's Demi Lightly Lined Bra

  1. Calvin Klein Women's Demi Lightly Lined Bra, £28.60 from Amazon – buy here

Will we ever tire of Calvin Klein underwear? Probably not. Let's face it, their basics are famous for a reason.

And the brand is available on Amazon. For less than £29, this classic black bra has subtle branding and lined soft cups.

As a go-to t-shirt bra, we recommend treating yourself to this because it fits well and you would never know that it's wired when wearing it.

It's very slightly see-through, amping it up from being your boring basic bra.

The thin adjustable straps don't suffocate you in the slightest either, which is always a plus.

Lululemon's Wunder Train Long-Line Bra

  • Wunder Train Longline Bra Medium Support, C/D Cup, from £34 from Lululemon – buy here

Just like everything else from high-street favourite Lululemon, the Wunder Train sports bra is oh-so soft and cosy to wear.

It provides support that doesn't feel suffocating in the slightest, ideal for both running and working out.

Cut from the brand's Everlux, fast-drying fabric, this bra is made for working up a real sweat.

The four-way stretch means it's so comfy. To the extent that you don't feel like you're actually wearing anything at all (perfect for heavy gym sessions).

Another plus is that, no matter how many times you wash this, it doesn't shrink and the quality remains intact.

Heist The Sheer Triangle Bralette

  • The Sheer Triangle Bralette, £48 from Heist – buy here

Heist Studios strives to create underwear, shape wear and tights that never sag, always keeping firmly in place to support you.

Their Sheer Triangle Bralette might be just short of £50 but it's cut from silky fabric with "optimum stretch" featuring a breathable mesh border.

We're yet to come across a piece by Heist that isn't sumptuously soft. The fabric of the Sheer Triangle Bralette is so lightweight and airy.

We knew it would be comfortable before we even tried it on because it's so silky smooth and there's no wiring whatsoever.

As it's so thin, you can't feel it underneath your clothes all day when wearing it, which is an amazing result if you ask us.

Pantee White Triangle Bra

  • The Triangle, £38 from Pantee – buy here

We should all be making an extra effort to shop sustainably, so we're loving Pantee's White Triangle Bra that's made from deadstock fabric.

Ethically made in Bangladesh, Pantee's bra is an all-round green gem as with every one bought, the brand plants a tree. Love.

Thankfully, it's so comfortable too. We wore it for a full day out of the house and we felt supported without feeling the slightest bit restricted.

The fabric is soft against your skin and the adjustable straps never dig in, even if you really tighten them for extra lift.

The fact that you can wear it as a cross-back bra or in the classic style is just the cherry on the cake.

M&S Flexifit™ Non Wired Full Cup Bra

  • Flexifit™ Non Wired Full Cup Bra, £20 from M&S – buy here

Our list would be incomplete without M&S – the brand best known for Percy Pigs and heavenly, long-lasting underwear.

This non-wired bra goes up to size 42E, incorporating M&S' Flexifit™ technology to give a really close fit with a barely-there feel.

When we took this out of the packaging, we already knew that it was going to be a strong contender for our roundup because it's so silky smooth.

It didn't let us down. The support is snug and it's lined enough to ensure that your nipples aren't on show when it's cold (we've all been there).

We also love the fact that you can alter the straps to either be a cross-back or classic bra.

For a full coverage, day-in-day-out staple, you really can't go wrong with this one. We want it in all three colours now too.

Pour Moi Opulence T Shirt Non Wired Bra – Black/Pink

  • Opulence T Shirt Non Wired Bra – Black/Pink, £24 from Pour Moi – buy here

Looking for something to look and feel good in? The Opulence T-Shirt Non Wired Bra from Pour Moi makes snug support look sexy.

Complete with lightly padded cups and absolutely zero wiring, this smooth bra is finished with pretty pink and black lace, available in all-white too.

When we first saw it, we were apprehensive as to whether it would suit our best comfy bras roundup, because we know frilled straps can really dig in.

It looks wired because the cups are so structured, but once you put it on,the sizing is great, keeping your boobs in place without suffocating you.

Another plus is that this gem goes up to a size 44F which is more than many pretty bras and the cups give you full coverage for support.

Boux Avenue Mollie Unpadded Plunge

  • Mollie Unpadded Plunge – Black, £26 from Boux Avenue – buy here

There are a lot of bras to choose from on Boux Avenue, which is why we're happy to have discovered the Mollie Unpadded Plunge bra.

This style also comes in a plunge or balconette, but we found the unpadded design to be the comfiest of all.

In our opinion, you can't go wrong with a staple black bra – this one has all-over black lace, a mesh strap and tiny silver Boux logo charm.

The material might not be as soft as some of those featured on our list but in terms of how well this fits your figure, it can't really be faulted.

It's flattering, offers support and makes you feel really confident too.

Seraphine Bamboo Nursing Bras

  • Seraphine Bamboo Nursing Bras – Twin Pack, £39 from Seraphine – buy here

Cut from soft bamboo, this set of two nursing and maternity bras are made with ultimate comfort in mind.

They're ultra-soft, seamless, and even give you a great lift so they're a flattering fit as well.

We haven't tried these out, but judging from Seraphine's track record, these might just be the comfiest around.

What is the best comfy bra?

All of the bras on this list meet our comfort-level requirements, but Sloggi's definitely wins as one that you can't feel at all when you wear it.

From the heavenly soft stretch fabric, to the skin-tight feel, it's so seamless and comfortably slides underneath anything you're wearing.

The second comfiest would probably have to be the design from good old M&S, as another non-wired versatile bra that is snug and easy-to-wear.
