The best weight benches are seriously versatile piece of equipment that allows you to work out almost every area of your body, if you know how to use them correctly.
What are the different types of weight benches?
The most common type of weight bench you'll see in a gym are utility benches.
These feature adjustable hinges which allows users to change the angle of the back support, so you can lie flat or sit up depending on the exercise.
Barbell benches (centre in the image above) have a rack built in, which means you can bench press until your heart's content. These benches are a little less versatile than utility benches, though.
You can also buy multi-function weight benches (top right in the image above) which have additional equipment built into them for more varied exercises.
Don't be fooled by all the bells and whistles though: you can work out your entire body using a simple bench and a set of dumbbells if needs be.
