Adrienne Bailon Shares Healthy Quarantine Eating and Wellness Habits

Staying happy and healthy in quarantine! Adrienne Bailon, who has lost about 20 pounds while cooped up inside amid the coronavirus pandemic, shared a series of healthy eating and general wellness habits she’s been sticking to as the health crisis continues.

The Real cohost, 36, discussed her secrets in a YouTube video posted on her personal “All Things Adrienne” channel on Tuesday, August 4, called “Healthy Habits to Keep in Quarantine.” As she explained, “I’m going to show you some of my favorite health tips, not just for our body, but for our minds, our hearts and our spirits.”

To start things off, Bailon discussed how she begins each morning extra early in order to give herself ample time to mentally prepare so she can take on the day. “One of my healthy habits that I’m really proud of is waking up early every single morning. It is super healthy to get your spirit right in the morning,” she said. “I cannot wake up any later than eight o’clock in the morning.”

In order to keep herself on track, the Cheetah Girls star sets her alarm “at least 30 minutes earlier” than her desired wakeup time each morning and starts her day by feeling grateful for her life and her surroundings. She then reads a morning prayer before taking some medication for an autoimmune disease with one of her favorite drinks.

“This is how I take my medicine in the morning, I make myself hot water with lemon,” she said while holding the soothing beverage. “It’s literally, like, a bubble bath for your belly.”

According to the New York native, who is vegan, sipping on the citrus-flavored drink keeps her from making poor breakfast choices (like eating pancakes) and ensures she will drink her daily immunity smoothie instead, which is a large part of her healthy eating routine.

“This is my go-to every morning, and what I love about it is that it is packed with antioxidants and while it’s working like a medicine, it tastes like dessert,” Bailon said, noting that she researched nutritious ingredients online before formulating her recipe. The drink contains ice, carrots, a banana, clementines, ginger, orange juice, lemon juice, turmeric, cinnamon, MCT oil, and vegan yogurt.

“Oh, my god, it’s so good,” the Coach Carter star said after taking a sip. “I need to start a juice factory. I need to be the juice lady.”

Bailon shared a bikini photo of herself on Instagram in July 2020 and revealed her 20-pound weight loss amid the coronavirus quarantine. The star debuted her slimmer figure two months earlier via Instagram with a clip of herself standing in front of the mirror in another bikini. “During this time more than ever … Staying healthy is at the top of my mind!” she wrote at the time. “This is my first post in a bathing suit since losing 20lbs. Now … I’ve lost weight before but always gained it back … because I was dieting & not changing my lifestyle! But not this time …”
