Aldi shoppers rush to buy 'insane' £6 dupes of iconic designer perfumes that are £300 cheaper than the real thing | The Sun

ALDI shoppers are rushing to buy an "insane" designer perfume dupe that's 98% cheaper than the real thing.

The budget supermarket is selling three Lacura fragrances for just £5.99 and customers have compared them to Dior and Paco Rabbane's perfumes.

Shoppers have compared Lacura's Devotion Eau de Parfum to Dior J'Adore Eau de Parfum.

But 100ml of the Dior scent would set shoppers back £116.45.

The Lacura Perfect Pink Eau de Parfum has also been compared to another popular Dior scent – Miss Dior.

These also cost a whopping £116.45 for 100ml – but Aldi's dupe costs just £5.99.

Lacura's Empress Eau de Parfum has been compared to Olmpea by Paco Rabanne which usually costs £87 – £81.01 more than Aldi's dupe.

If Aldi shoppers were to bag all three Lacura scents they'd save a whopping £313.91.

It comes after Holly Lavender posted a video on her TikTok channel to review the new summer fragrances.

People were quick to comment on the find and one viewer said: "The Empress one is fire. It lasts for ages too."

Another said: "I got all three today and they smelt beaut."

"I got these and they smell exactly the same as the real ones. And last exactly the same – they are amazing," said a third shopper.

However, you'll need to be quick to bag the cheap scents as they're only available in-store.

If you don't know where your nearest branch is, you can use Aldi's store locator on its website.

You just have to enter your town or postcode and it will bring up the closest store to you.

Always remember that prices vary by brand, size and retailer so it's worth having a browse elsewhere before you make a decision.

Use price comparison tools like Google Shopping to find similar products from other retailers and compare prices.

And remember, it's important to always remember that these bargains are only a good deal if you need the item in the first place – if you get it just because of the offer, you aren't necessarily saving money.

How can I save money on my Aldi shop?

If you're an Aldi regular, you'll want to employ a few money-saving tips to slash your bill.

Of course, the discount grocer is famous for its middle aisle, where shoppers can pick up everything from garden furniture and gym equipment to kitchen appliances and clothes.

To get the best bargains, you need to know when the Specialbuy items will be on sale.

You can find new stock in Aldi's middle aisle on Thursdays and Sundays, so you'll get your pick of the products if you head to the store then.

But every two weeks, Aldi also picks six of its favourites to offer shoppers fruit and veg at low prices.

The prices don't change over the two weeks that the offer is live so really you can cash in at any time – though what's on offer will change every fortnight.

But if you want to be sure to get the best of the bunch, then heading to the store at the start of the week to pick the freshest items won't hurt.

Yellow stickers are the key to a successful shop for most customers, and Aldi has its own version of labelled bargains too.

Aldi shoppers should look out for red stickers on products instead.

Workers usually put them on to show something is reduced, either because the packaging is damaged or it's about to go out of date.

You can often save up to 75% off products marked up in this way in Aldi, so it's worth keeping an eye out in the store.

And remember, it's always worth writing a list before heading out to your nearest branch.
