In early November, it was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was approaching several milestones and even trying to talk.
A royal insider told Us Weekly that Archie is “a strong baby and you can tell he’s super smart. He can sit up without support and rollover, and he’s almost crawling. He can’t talk yet, but he’s trying!”
Now, while royal fans are trying to guess what Archie’s first word will be some are wondering what were the first things his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis said. Here’s more on that.
Prince George’s first word
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s oldest son, Prince George, was born on July 22, 2013.
The Express noted that George’s said his first word while on tour with his parents in Australia when he was about 9 months old. Prince William admitted that the first thing he thought George would say might be “bilby,” which is an Australian marsupial with rabbit-like ears. Although that was never confirmed, some royal watchers believe “bilby” was the first word the young royal uttered.
“George is now busy forging his own link with Australia,” William said in a speech to city dignitaries at the Sydney Opera House. “Catherine and I were very grateful for the many kind messages and gifts from across the country that we received when George was born. I suspect George’s first word might be ‘bilby’ — only because ‘koala’ is harder to say.”
A few facts about George are that he is third in the line of succession to the British throne, he loves thunderstorms, he knows how to speak some Spanish and is now learning French in school.
Princess Charlotte’s first word
Princess Charlotte was born on May 2, 2015.
The little princess’ was heard saying her first word on camera while at a party with other youngsters for military families during her parents royal tour to Canada in the fall of 2016. Cameras captured Charlotte turning to William and saying “Pop.”
A few facts about the prince and Middleton’s only daughter are that she is fourth in the line of succession, she loves to dance and cook, and her favorite color is pink.
Prince Louis’ first word
Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018.
Louis is the Cambridge child royal fans know the least about. We’re not even sure what his first word was since his mom and dad said he knew a few words but never revealed what the first thing he actually said was.
Some fun facts about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest son are that he is fifth in line to the throne and his first name is not only his big brother’s middle name but also part of William’s full name. The literal meaning of Louis in French is “famous warrior” and fans should note that it is pronounced the French way Lou-EE, not Lou-ISS as the “s” at the end is silent.
