Can YOU tell a £10 scarf from one that costs £220? As influencers snap up Acne Studio’s upmarket style, Oliver Bonas, ASOS and Hobbs unveil lookalikes at a fraction of the price

  • Acne Studio’s £220 large check scarf has been a hit on social media
  • Influencers around the world have snapped up the vibrant winter accessory
  • Brands including ASOS, Hobbs and Oliver Bonas have unveiled lookalikes
  • Can you tell the expensive styles from the cut-price alternatives?

We’ve all heard of It Bags, but how about an It Scarf?

The must-have accessory of this winter is a £220 chunky check scarf from cult Swedish label Acne Studios.

The scarf, which comes in 13 different colourways, including vibrant combinations of orange, blue and purple, has been spotted on the necks of some of the most glamorous influencers from around the world.

Social media stars in the UK, US and across Europe have been posing in their Acne Studio scarves since the earliest days of winter, sparking a frenzy among style-conscious shoppers wanting to replicate the look.

Fortunately for fashionistas who can’t afford to fork out £220 for scarf, brands like Hobbs, ASOS and Oliver Bonas wasted no time in bringing out their own take on the distinctive check style – but with prices starting at just £10.

One of the most convincing lookalikes is a £24 from River Island, which comes in almost exactly the same colours as the most popular Acne Studio style.

Here, FEMAIL rounds up a selection of the most convincing dupes from popular high street brands, so can you tell which is the most expensive?
