Ever pulled your hair into a ponytail, only to discover your hairline looking patchy and uneven? It’s a common beauty problem many women struggle with and, unfortunately, is often simply down to genetics.
But all is not lost. With the beauty world swimming with clever hair products, anything is fixable these days – just ask TOWIE’s Chloe Sims, who shared her genius hack for filling in those pesky patches.
In a hair tutorial posted to her Instagram page, Chloe showed fans how she styles her luscious lengths, and in the process revealed how she fakes a more fuller look around her hairline using the Color WOW Root Cover Up, £28.50 here.

“I love this product, mostly when I wear my hair up,” Chloe says.
“It’s a root cover up, but this is really good when you want to put your hair up but you want to hide these little bald patches,” the star says pointing to the thinner areas of her hair.
“They’re not bald but the hair just doesn’t really grow there,” she adds.
In the lengthy tutorial, Chloe is wearing her hair in a high ponytail and shows fans how to apply the product using a small brush that comes with the formula.

Rubbing the product into her hairline, the star says “I don’t dye my hair, all of the brown hair is my natural colour, but where I’ve got tapes in and they’re pulled up, it leaves a bald-looking patch.”
Chloe uses a circular motion and fills in her roots using the product, making the star’s “bald patches” look instantly dark and full.
“I’m just so impressed with this product,” she says. “I just think it’s amazing.”
It seems Chloe has taken inspiration from the Kardashian family as she says, “I’m pretty sure this is what the Kardashians do when they wear their hair up.”
“They’ve got that lovely hairline,” she adds.
After applying the product generously, Chloe then blends the product in to make sure it’s even.
The TOWIE star then reveals the jaw-dropping results by showing fans the side of her hair that still looks patchy, comparing it to the section she has applied the product to.

“I’ve done that side roughly to show you the difference,” Chloe says. “It is mad!”
She then tidies up her ponytail, revealing her darker, fuller roots.
