Dream Team Bets Club: Bayern gets things going again in tricky trip to Union Berlin

BAYERN Munich are ready and raring to go for their Sunday clash against Union Berlin.

With the Bundesliga back in action this weekend, the league leaders will be hoping they can steamroller their way to the title from this point – with their rivals Borussia Dortmund just four points behind them in the table.

Right, what’s on the menu?

  • ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI TO SCORE 2+ GOALS, 5/2 (CLAIM) – Bayern’s hitman is currently the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer with 25 goals and he’s got his eye on breaking Gerd Muller’s 40-goal Bundesliga record that’s been going strong for the last 47 years.
  • HAALAND, WERNER AND LEWANDOWSKI ALL TO SCORE, 9/2 (CLAIM) – each of the top team’s main striker will be determined to get back to scoring ways after such a lengthy spell away from playing.

Bayern travel to the German capital on an 11-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga, only dropping points in their match against league rivals RB Leipzig in that sequence. .

How have they done it? Well, it’s simple really; they’re just pretty good at scoring goals – with nine of their last 10 wins coming by at least a two-goal margin.

If that wasn’t bad enough for Union, Bayern are the league’s best away side this season – only losing two games – and are particularly good at scoring early into the match, netting over a third of their away goals inside the first 15 minutes.

But Union are certainly no slouches.

They’re enjoying their first season in the Bundesliga this year, and they’ve made quite the impact so far – currently sitting in 11th-place in the table and silencing the doubters who claimed they were the favourites for relegation in pre-season.

They famously beat Borussia Dortmund in Game Week three of the competition and have also picked up wins against Monchengladbach and their cross-city rivals Hertha Berlin.

Union’s form isn’t quite as impressive as Bayern’s away form though, as they currently sit mid-table in the home-form table – with six wins and five defeats.

They’ve netted two goals in five of their last six Bundesliga matches in total, with four of their last five wins coming through a 2-0 scoreline. However, it’s worth pointing out that all four home league games in which they conceded first this season they lost.
