Forking out to have your oven professionally cleaned can be an expense that most of us could do without.
So we'll definitely be trying out this handy hack from Mrs Hinch's army of fans which promises to do the job yourself and save you time and money.
Mrs Hinch fans shared the tip in a Facebook group dedicated to the cleaning Instagram star who has almost 4 million followers and counting.
Posting a picture of her grime-covered oven, a Facebook user appealed to the group, saying: "Please don’t judge me (didn’t realise how bad it got). I have tried pink all-purpose spray. What else can I use?”
Cleaning fans were quick to reply, recommending dishwasher tablets as the key to a good as new oven.
A user said: “I soaked mine in dishwater tablets for a day.”
Another person replied: “Wet the glass and get a dishwasher tablet. Wet that and rub it on the glass it will come up like new. Divide the glass into four and do one bit at a time.”
While it sounds strange, dishwasher tablets contain all manner of grease busting ingredients, and at just around £3 for a pack of 30, the tip will save you money too.
This is probably why the tip went down a storm with hundreds of Hinchers commenting positive reviews of the tried and tested technique.
Another said: “Dampen a dishwasher tablet (has to be a hard tablet) and gently rub the tablet directly on the glass in a circular motion, keep dipping the tablet in warm water."
“I saw this on This Morning a few years ago, couldn't believe it worked and my arm wasn’t aching after either.”
Another cleaning fan said: “Dishwasher tablet and water and just scrub it all over- works a treat.”
So that’s the oven sorted, but what about the oven trays?
Well, never chuck one away again with this handy chemical-free tip shared on TikTok.
Rather than using harsh chemicals, the man demonstrated how he gets his oven trays sparkling clean using baking soda crystals.
You can buy a packet of soda crystals for under £1.50, and the vinegar for around £1 meaning the hack is as friendly to your purse as it is the planet.
Soda crystals and vinegar are surprisingly multi-purpose and can also be used to clean out drains.
Just add a couple of spoons of crystals and add a slosh of vinegar and leave for five minutes. After that, rinse the drain using the hot water tap and voila!
