Hairdressers reopen: How will hairdressers work after lockdown?

From July 4, drinkers can reconnect at the pub, families can reunite and people will be able to stay at hotels and holiday in England. Hairdressers have also been given to the green light as Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the “national hibernation” was ending on Tuesday.

Mr Johnson acknowledged the fight was “far from over”, but said “life is returning to our streets”.

Where the two-metre rule cannot be applied, it will be replaced with a “one metre-plus” measure.

People would still need to socially distance and stay alert when around other people.

Mr Johnson said “difficult judgments” had to be made and “every step is scrupulously weighed against the evidence”.

How will hairdressers work after lockdown?

Hairdressers have not been allowed to operate for three months.

But the wait is nearly over for those in desperate need of a hair cut.

The Prime Minister Boris gave permission for hair salons and barbers in England to reopen from Saturday July 4.

On Sunday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock joked “the nation needs a haircut”.

Hairdressers have welcomed plans to relax the two-metre social distancing rule in England.

Hairdressers will likely be wearing plastic visors, “personal protection packs” and a ban on magazines.

The workers will also have to wear full-face plastic visors and customers will have to make appointments.
