Inside Peloton instructor Leanne Hainsbys life including This Morning boyfriend

Since making a name for herself as the first woman in the UK to become a Peloton instructor, Leanne Hainsby has accumulated a huge social media following from fans of her fitness classes.

The 35 year old recently shared with her 368k followers that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2022, after discovering a lump two days before her best friend's funeral.

Leanne wrote: "Nobody wants to be sat in a room and told they have cancer, and yet I've always felt like one of the lucky ones." She continued: "Lucky to be diagnosed early, lucky to be moving fast through treatment, lucky to know I will be OK."

Her post attracted a flood of support from famous faces including model Max Rogers, former TOWIE star Lauren Pope and fitness influencer Alice Liveing, as well as her fellow Peloton instructors.

Her loyal fans, who call themselves the 'Yes to you crew' have even started a hashtag in support – #WeRideForLeanne.

Let's take a look at Leanne's life…

Who is Leanne's partner?

Leanne, from Chislehurst, Kent, is engaged to fellow Peloton instructor Ben Alldis – the pair met while embarking on two months of training for their instructor roles in New York. Although, they initially tried to keep their relationship under wraps, they were rumbled during lockdown when attendees noticed they were both broadcasting their classes from the same home.

Leanne later said: 'We were conducting classes from our tiny spare room where we struggle to get a bed in! At one time there were 10,000 people in that bedroom!'

The couple got engaged in July 2021 on an idyllic mountain top in Ibiza.

Ben, who was working in private equity before he gave it up to become a Peloton instructor, wrote about his fiancée: "You are the one who came into my life and changed everything. The one that I was drawn to by fate and who I’m now bounded to by love. The one who understands, loves and supports me. The one who embraces me for being me and makes me feel complete."

Ben has more recently said that he's "incredibly proud" of how Lianne is handling her illness.

The pair, who live in London, have spoken about wanting to start a family and went through IVF before Leanne began chemotherapy. Leanne said: "We weren't mentally prepared, but we got it done and we're so grateful."

On top of leading spin rides for the popular fitness brand, 30-year-old Ben is a regular fixture on This Morning. His most recent appearance was at the end of the December, where he shared with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield how to build healthy habits.

Who is Leanne's best friend?

Leanne had a very close relationship with Danielle Hampson.

Danielle was engaged to Stereo Kicks singer Tom Mann, but tragically died on the morning of their wedding in June last year.

At the time, Leanne wrote on Tom's Instagram: "I will honour my best friend by being there for you and [their son] Bowie always. You know this, and I know Danielle would know this too. Forever more.

"Bowie will always know the magic, and sparkle, and beauty of his mummy. All she ever wanted, and especially on your day was to marry you. I promise you this. She's already so proud of you. We all are."

Leanne has spoken of how it was particularly difficult receiving her cancer diagnosis while still in the early stages of her grief, explaining that it was "unimaginably tough, and that still feels like an understatement."

What jobs has Leanne had?

Before taking her Peloton role in 2018, where she's known for her super high-energy classes, Leanne was a professional dancer.

Between the ages of eight and 11 she trained with the Royal Ballet, before heading to a performing arts college at 16.

Leanne has an impressive CV – working as a backing dancer for many mega stars including Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, and has appeared on shows from Strictly Come Dancing to The X Factor.

"Dancing was my life, and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to give it up – but being a Peloton instructor enables me to use so many elements of my dancing and so the change felt quite natural," she says.

Peloton users must pay £39 per month for a membership. Prime minister Rishi Sunak is reportedly a fan of Leanne's classes!
