Johnny Depp’s bombshell libel trial against Amber Heard will take an even more dramatic turn on Tuesday when the actor takes the stand, sources confirm to Page Six.

We’re told the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star will give testimony in person in the $50 million legal battle against his ex-wife — whom he will directly face in the courtroom.

Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 35, for defamation in Fairfax, Va., over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post about surviving domestic violence.

Though he wasn’t named in the piece, Depp — who was married to Heard from 2015 to 2017 — alleges his ex fabricated abuse allegations in an attempt to score a huge divorce settlement, which has damaged his career.

Disney dropped Depp from his leading role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the multibillion-dollar “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise just four days after the op-ed ran.

Meanwhile, Heard is adamant she told the truth and has countersued Depp for $100 million.

The defamation trial kicked off last week and set the stage for a bitter showdown between the two Hollywood stars.

Heard’s attorney Ben Rottenborn alleged that evidence will show his client suffered domestic abuse by Depp that “took many forms,” including physical, emotional, verbal and psychological abuse, as well as “sexual violence at the hands of Depp.” Depp strongly denies the allegations as “fictitious.”

On Monday, the court watched a pre-recorded video deposition from Dr. David Kipper, a Beverly Hills doctor who treats celebrities for addiction. Depp hired him in May 2014 to treat him for opioid addiction. He also helped Depp detox on an island in the Bahamas.

Kipper told the court that his initial diagnosis for Depp was “ADHD, Bipolar 1, depression, insomnia, chronic substance abuse disorder and chronic reflux.”

He was then asked about texts he exchanged with Depp in March 2015 when the actor allegedly wrote, “Hi f–k man had another one. I cannot live like this. She is as full of s–t as a Christmas Goose. I’m done. NO MORE!!!!

“Constant insults released from a malicious evil and vindictive c–t!!!!! You know what’s far more hurtful than her venomous and degrading educational ranting??? Her hideously and purposely hurtful tirades and her goddamn shocking treatment of the man she was meant to love above all.”

Depp continued, “Here’s the real deal mate…her obsession with herself is far more important. She is so f–king ambitious!!!! She’s so desperate for success and fame. That’s probably why I was acquired, mate. She has hammered me with what a sad old man has been I am … I’m so very sad.”

Under questioning from Depp’s lawyers, Kipper said he also began to treat Heard sometime after August 2014 when Depp did a detox on his private island in the Caribbean.

One of Depp’s lawyers asked Kipper, “Did she [Heard] ever seek treatment for injuries as a result of domestic abuse?” to which he responded, “No, she did not.”

Depp’s lawyer then asked, “Did she ever seek treatment for injuries caused by Mr. Depp?”

“No, she did not,” replied Kipper.

When further pressed about whether Heard ever told him that Depp abused her, Kipper again said, “No, she did not.”

Kipper said he “never” witnessed Depp physically abusing Heard and never saw any such injuries on her.

The court also heard Kipper’s notes read out loud, which said, “Amber has a strong family history of drug and alcohol abuse and is particularly sensitive to his (Depp’s behaviors and potential for abuse).”

When asked if “abuse” meant substance abuse, Kipper said, “Yes, not physical abuse.”

Kipper added that by “particularly sensitive” he meant: “Having grown up in that environment, she’s used to seeing the trauma that it inflicts and is not only able to recognize it but also it affects her.”
