A lifestyle influencer has been mocked online after sharing a bizarre tutorial on ‘how to draw a bath the English way’.

London-based property consultant Ari Reid boasts more than 110,000 followers on TikTok sharing ‘luxury lifestyle’ tips, and took to the platform to share advice to her followers on how to run a bath.

The video lasts for just 12 seconds and shows the property consultant simply putting a plug in the bath before turning on both of the taps under the advice of her grandmother, who lived in Oxfordshire.

However people were underwhelmed with the advice, sarcastically teasing that the influencer was ‘very lucky’ that she was taught such a valuable lesson while others ‘have to learn the hard way’ to put in the plug.

Users were predictably baffled that the video had ended without more information on how to perfect a bath, with one writing: ‘Did the video get cut off? Cliffhanger! What’s the secret?’.

Others joked about the simplicity of the tutorial, sarcastically teasing that the influencer would need to do a ‘step by step guide’ to explain how to put the plug in the bath.

‘Ah yes. The plug. That’s why I’ve been sat here for 2794 days waiting for the bath to fill up’, said one.

‘Did you just make a video telling us that to run a bath we need to put the plug in???’, wrote another.

A fourth joked: ‘Oh so THAT’S where I was going wrong. Never put the plug in. Now I know how the posh get ahead: Oxfordshire bath running lessons.’
