Meghan Markle Had 'Trouble Sleeping' From Stress While Living in the U.K.

Anyone with anxiety can attest to the fact that it is not a joke. What some people may not know about Meghan Markle is that she is affected by anxiety. Land lately, it seems to have really been getting to her. Meghan has been under extreme stress for quite a while, even before her wedding to Prince Harry. The British tabloids have been relentless; news outlets in both England and the United States have been giving the duchess a hard time for just about every reason possible. Recently, it came as a huge shock when Meghan and Harry announced their decision to resign as senior royals. Although all of the details of their departure have not yet been finalized, there is a lot of speculation regarding their plans. One thing that we do know is that Meghan and Harry have, in the past, been open about their unhappiness with royal life. They are a very private couple, and life in the spotlight is overwhelming for both of them.

Stepping down from their royal duties

News about “Megxit” has been dominating the headlines lately. Everyone wants to know where Meghan and Harry will live, and how they plan to be “financially independent” now that they will no longer be receiving public funding from the Sovereign Grant. Meghan was feeling especially anxious about the stress of living life in front of the world and constantly being criticized. According to Vanity Fair, it is one of the reasons she and Harry decided to step back. As it turns out, the pressure was taking a very negative toll on both Meghan and Harry. It was to the point where Harry felt compelled to release a statement in his wife’s defense. It didn’t seem to make much of a difference, as the media still didn’t back off as the couple had hoped. Even after they announced their resignation, it would appear that they are still in the news on a regular basis.

Much calmer in Canada

Here we come Düsseldorf ??! The new home for the 2022 and sixth Invictus Games. Having previously been held in London, Orlando, Toronto, Sydney, and upcoming The Hague this year in May – Düsseldorf will welcome over 500 competitors as they showcase their talents, determination and camaraderie to the world! The #InvictusGames is an international adaptive multi-sport event, created by The Duke of Sussex, in which wounded, injured or sick (WIS) armed services personnel and veterans show the world what they’re capable of in a series of adaptive sports, ranging from wheelchair basketball to indoor rowing. The Duke, having spent 10 years serving in the Armed Forces, set up the @WeAreInvictusGames to celebrate the power of sport rehabilitation (both physically and mentally) and to generate a wider appreciation for those who served their country beyond their time in uniform. Participating in the Games plays a significant part in the recovery journey of WIS Servicemen and women. It doesn’t just heal the individual, it heals the whole family. • “I hope everyone in Germany is ready for what will be an incredible week of sport! I have no doubt that the German public will get right behind these Games and that every single competitor can expect a warm welcome and an amazing atmosphere.” – The Duke of Sussex For more information of the announcement, visit https://invictusgamesfoundation.org/ig2022-announcement/ Video © @WeAreInvictusGames

Meghan spent years living in Canada while filming the show that allowed her to rise to fame, Suits. It wasn’t too surprising when she and Harry headed there after splitting from the royal family. It has been reported that both of them are doing great, with Fox News reporting that they are extremely happy in their new environment. They feel that they are finally away from the circus that was constantly surrounding them. Not only has it been helpful for the two of them, but for baby Archie as well. Finally, they are able to live the calmer life that they have wanted for years but just weren’t able to have when they were living in the United Kingdom.

As we continue to reflect on some of the organisations supported by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, today we wanted to share more about @TheMayhew, an animal welfare charity which The Duchess became Patron of earlier this year. Mayhew believes in the power of community and the special bond between humans and animals, which is why their programming does not simply focus on rescuing animals but rather takes a more holistic approach to shaping the lives of pets and humans, alike. Their TheraPaws dogs and volunteers now visit not just care homes and hospitals, but also mental health facilities and youth groups – expanding the benefits of animal assisted therapy into much needed areas. They also work with the homeless community assisting with treatments and check ups for their pets so that the most vulnerable can trust that their pet will remain by their side. This year, Mayhew has continued its specialized work overseas, vaccinating more than 30,000 dogs against rabies and other diseases, and empowering locals to improve animal welfare humanely and sustainably. The Duchess is also proud that they are creating opportunities for women, with the female led vet team in Kabul neutering 2,500 dogs so far this year. As a long-time rescue dog owner, The Duchess of Sussex is proud to be Mayhew’s Patron and applauds them for the vital work that they do every day. While just about everyone knows that Meghan is a notoriously early riser, what we weren’t aware of is the fact that she was losing a lot of sleep while living in England. Why is this? It is due to all the stress that she under as a member of the royal family. She was so unhappy, that Page Six can report that she actually says she will never return to the United Kingdom to live. She is so happy to be back in a place where she is not constantly hassled and can go about her day to day activities without worrying about rumors swirling.
