Meghan Markle Was Setting Up Secret Projects As Far Back as October 2018

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shocked the world when they announced their departure from the royal family a few weeks back, but was Meghan planning an exit strategy this entire time? New information has come to light that suggests the Duchess of Sussex has been setting up secret deals as far back as the fall of 2018. If this is true, then Meghan was planning Megxit around six months after tying the knot with Harry.

Meghan Markle starts new foundation

In October of 2018, Meghan and Harry confirmed that they were expecting their first child. The announcement was met with excitement around the world, but behind the scenes, the former Suits stars was making deals of her own.

According to Express,Meghan Markle registered two websites roughly a week after announcing herpregnancy. Meghan coupled the sites – archefoundation.org andarchefoundation.com – with an official Instagram account called@archfoundation, which has remained private.

She has not posted on the account, which only has one follower,Janina Gavanker. Meghan and Janina are good friends, and the actress evenattended Meghan and Harry’s wedding.

Royal watchers also might recognize her as the person who tookHarry and Meghan’s Christmas card this past December.

Because the spelling is different, it is unclear if the websites are linked to Meghan Markle’s son, Archie Harrison. Archie was born in the spring of 2019, and Meghan has gone to great lengths to keep him out of the spotlight.

What other secret projects is Meghan working on?

Apart from the new websites, Meghan also recently renewed the trademark for her former blog, The Tig. Back in September, Meghan’s business manager and long-time associate, Andrew Mayer, applied for the renewal.

As fans will recall, Meghan Markle shut down the website shortlyafter she started seeing Harry. The fact that Mayer renewed the trademarksuggests that Meghan was keeping the project in her back pocket and has planson revisiting it in the future.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” – The Duke and Duchess of Sussex For more information, please visit sussexroyal.com (link in bio) Image © PA

When it comes to the other websites, we still do not know whatthey mean or what Meghan has planned for them. The word arche means “origin” or“beginning” in Greek, a language Meghan has shown a fondness for inthe past.

There is no telling what Meghan Markle was thinking when she had her manager create the websites and social media accounts. It is possible that this was a secret project Meghan had in the works, though it is unclear if anyone else in the royal family knew about it.

What’s next for the Sussexes?

The couple’s exit is expected to become formalized this spring. In the meantime, the two are planning on paying back the money that was used torenovate their house, Frogmore Cottage.

Meghan has kept in contact with the team who created the website, which was not officially scrapped. In fact, The Tig is technically still activeand would not take much to get up and running.

The former Suits star also has a lot more freedom now that she is not a senior member of the royal family. We do not know if starting up her old blog is part of Meghan Markle’s plan, but it is certainly an option.
