The most viewed properties for sale during the latest lockdown have been revealed by property website Zoopla.

The properties lusted after in lockdown cater for a range of tastes and budgets, including a £54.5million mega mansion in London’s affluent Mayfair and a stunning £400,000 rural retreat on the Isle of Skye.

The remote retreat on the Isle of Skye satisfies the pandemic craving for space and countryside, while the London mansion provides plenty of room inside, including a leisure suite with an indoor swimming pool.

It has been a month since England went into its latest lockdown, with Zoopla suggesting that home hunters have been using their time to look at a wide range of properties.

Tom Parker, of Zoopla, said: ‘With yet another lockdown firmly in place many of us are understandably using the additional time at home to look at property online.

‘It’s clear that there are two types of property browsers, those on the hunt for their next step on the property ladder, and those looking for some escapism and searching for a luxurious mansion or a place in the country.’

Zoopla took properties in England, Wales and Scotland into account in its latest findings.

The top two most viewed homes in Britain were both in Liverpool. One is a four-bedroom semi-detached home with a price tag of £425,000, while the other is a five-bedroom detached house costing £1.5million.

The average price of a property in Liverpool is £181,860, according to Zoopla. It compares to £289,622 for the average price of a home in Britain today.
