Mum claims putting children to bed in next day’s clothes ‘works wonders’

Most parents will agree that getting your kids clothed and ready for the next day is certainly one of life’s trickiest tasks.

But it’s not so difficult for mum-of-two Lisa Lamond who revealed her rather unusual hack to save time in the mornings in a candid post.

The mum, who is also the star of Australian show House Rules, shared the parenting tips she wish she had known before she had kids.

Lisa told Whimn: “My daughters like to dress themselves from head-to-toe. On days I’m working in particular, I don’t have a spare hour while they pull up one sock.

“So the best piece of advice I’ve been given is to dress your kids the night before in the clothes you want them to go out in.”

The next day, the mum wakes them up, changes their nappy, puts on their shoes and heads out of the door.

She added: “It works wonders for me and where I’m at in life at the moment.”

As well as mornings, bath times are also quite challenging for parents, with Lisa describing them as “the bane of my existence”.

She revealed how she lets her children fill the bath with slime – only if she could wash their hair.

But the parent urged others to not compare themselves to her own routine because everyone is at their own stages in life.

She explained: “We all have our own pace and ways of coping. But I got over it and learned how to diffuse the situation."
