Sheree Sutcliffe from Rockhampton in Queensland shared the recipe online after pictures of the delicious crowd-pleasers went viral

‘You can’t post something as good as this and not share the recipe,’ one woman wrote alongside the pictures.

Sheree, who often shares recipes on Facebook, was happy to oblige and posted details in the comments.

The recipe includes diced chicken, onion, capsicum and shallots as well as a French onion soup mix, cream cheese and pastry.

Sheree cooks the chicken, onion and capsicum together in a pan.

She then mixes the shallots, cream cheese and French onion soup together in a bowl.

When the chicken is cooled, she adds it to the mixture and then spreads it evenly across puff pastry before rolling the sheet up and cutting it into pinwheels.

HOW CAN I MAKE CREAMY CHEESE PINWHEELS?

INGREDIENTS

 Cream cheese

Chicken

Shallots

Capsicum

French onion soup mix

Pastry

Onion

 Grated cheese

METHOD

Cut the capsicum, onion and chicken into small cubes.

Cook the chicken in a pan before adding the capsicum and onion. Continue to cook unto the onion is soft.

Set aside and allow to cool.

Combine the cream cheese with the sliced shallots and French onion soup mix.

Add the cooled chicken mixture and stir well.

Spread the creamy chicken mixture onto a sheet of pastry. Roll tightly and cut into pinwheels.

Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 220C until golden brown.

‘Cook until it is nice and golden,’ she said.
