Sophie Flowers, from Bristol, shared hilarious pictures of her dishwasher filled with foam to the Facebook group We Love Mrs Hinch, explaining that her husband had soaked the racks in deep-cleaning solution Oven Pride.

The results had the group members in stitches, because Sophie had no other choice but to use a mop to get rid of the nightmare bubbles.

Sophie Flowers, from Bristol, shared hilarious pictures of her dishwasher covered in foam after her husband tried to help with the cleaning

‘Thought you’d all appreciate the state of my dishwasher,’ she wrote.

‘Hubby thought it was fine to use Oven Pride on the oven racks and then pop them in the dishwasher. Warning – do not do this!! Hoping it will be OK,’ she added.

The clusters of bubbles spread everywhere had many other women sympathising with Sophie, with one saying: ‘I would be crying.’

The woman’s husband coated their oven racks with Oven Pride before putting them in the dishwasher

While some members of the group sympathised with Sophie, others were quick to see the funny side

‘Oh god, poor you. Remember cold water kills bubbles,’ another said.

‘Men are brainless,’ quipped another.

Others were quick to see the funny side, and pointed out that at least her dishwasher got a good clean in the process.

‘OMG, sorry but near wet myself laughing at this,’ said one.

‘Your going to have the clearest dishwasher around,’ wrote another.

Oven Pride is a deep cleaning solution for oven which is used by soaking the racks in the product and letting it sit overnight

Members of the cleaning tips group sympathised with Sophie and said she’d have the cleanest oven around

‘Other women shared their own misadventures with men, dishwashers and soaps.

‘Try having a brother who did some washing, but couldn’t find the pods so decided to use Lynx shower gel,’ one said.

‘Mine once put washing up liquid in ours for a cycle to “clean it”,’ wrote another.

Oven Pride is a solution used to deep-clean both the racks and the sides of an oven.

For best results, the racks needs to be soaked in the solution, then put in a plastic bag before a thorough rinse.

The solution does not turn to foam, but will do when in contact with water, hence the terrible results obtained by Sophie’s husband.

Thankfully, Sophie saw the funny side, and explained her remorseful husband had helped with the clean-up.
