Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially out of the royal spotlight and living in Los Angeles with their son, Archie Harrison. The couple’s exit from the royal family went into effect at the end of March and they will now split their time between the United Kingdom and North America. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are starting their new lives in LA, Harry should have been back home this weekend for the London Marathon.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle start fresh in LA
At the end of March, Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, moved from Canada to LA. All signs point to the couple establishing a base in the area where they will run their new foundation, Archewell.
Although they were planning on moving forward with their newcharity, the coronavirus pandemic has put a halt to their plans. Instead, PrinceHarry and Meghan are helping people who have been hit hard by the virus.
This includes handing out food packages with a local charity andgiving back to the community the best way they can.
When they are not helping out their neighbors, Harry and Meghan have been hunkering down in their house amid a statewide lockdown. Like other members of the royal family, the Sussexes are living in isolation until the crisis is over, which means no trips to the UK in the near future.
The Duke of Sussex should have returned to the UK this weekend
Royal watchers expected to see Harry at this year’s LondonMarathon. The event was scheduled to go down on April 26 but has been postponedbecause of the coronavirus pandemic.
This is the first year in the history of the marathon that eventorganizers have postponed it. The 26.2-mile race was first launched back in1981. It is now scheduled to take place in October and fans are expecting PrinceHarry to make an appearance (as long as the event does not suffer any moredelays).
Harry would have likely made an appearance at the games in April because he is the patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust, Hello! reports. Since 2012, Harry has been at the finish line at nearly every London Marathon race, handing out medals to the winners.
The Duke of Sussex even made it to the event last year when Meghan was near her due date. In 2018, Harry skipped the event but Queen Elizabeth stood in for him. And three years ago, Harry brought along Prince William and Kate Middleton, who helped cheer on the runners.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are working on a new biography
While fans wait to see when Harry returns to the UK, he andMeghan will be looking for ways to earn a living in LA. As a way to make moneyand tell their side of the story, inside sources told Mirror that the Sussexesare going to write a biography with the tentative title, Thoroughly ModernRoyals: The Real World of Harry and Meghan.
The biography is allegedly over 300 pages and is meant to portraythe Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a positive light.
Prince Harry and Meghan have not commented on the book. The news comes following the couple’s announcement that they will no longer work with a select number of British media outlets.
Have Harry and Meghan moved to a paparazzi hotspot?
On reason Harry and Meghan left the royal family was to get outof the spotlight, but one celebrity photographer believes they are moving to apaparazzi hotspot. The couple is reportedly living in a gated community inMalibu called Serra Retreat.
According to PageSix, photographer Mark Karloff says that Prince Harry and Meghan’snew community is a hotbed for the paparazzi, who often camp out for a chance tospot a celebrity.
“This is LA, there are probably 200 to 300 photographersaround, they’rereally hungry for pictures right now,” he explained. “If they wereout and about, they could expect to get it constantly if they decide tofrequent any place.”
Karloff added that the Sussexes will need to reach a deal with the paparazzi that gives them some kind of access to their lives. If not, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle run the risk of making the photographers “more aggressive.”
