A self-confessed sex addict, who has slept with over 200 men, has revealed how she rarely vetted strangers before going home with them – and now admits ‘anything could have happened’.

Laurie Jade Woodruff, 30, from Sheffield, lost her virginity at the age of 12 and used to sleep with six men a week, but ended up seeking help for her addiction after one encounter with a stranger left her ‘terrified’.

She has now revealed how she would rarely paid attention to her own safety in her quest for sex, and is in disbelief at her past behaviour.

She told The Sun: ‘It terrifies me now but I didn’t really vet anyone, and sometimes I would go back to a bloke’s place without having a clue who he was.’

Sex addict Laurie Jade Woodruff, 30, from Sheffield, said it now ‘terrifies’ her that she ‘didn’t really vet anyone’ before being intimate with them

Laurie – who used to sleep with 200 men a week – revealed one terrifying encounter with a man who became ‘too rough’ in bed led her to seek help for her addiction

Laurie would meet men for sex who had merely sent her compliments on Instagram, she did not need dating apps to find a partner, because they came to her.

She said that she has slept with so many men, between 100 and 200, that she has lost count of her number of conquests.

Her loss of her virginity as a 12-year-old was just the start of an obsession that took over her life.

She revealed she was ‘obsessed’ with having no-strings attached sex with strangers, with apps like Instagram acting like a drug and feeding her need.

Laurie became ‘obsessed’ with having no-strings attached sex, and called it ‘so exciting’ to sleep with strangers

Laurie said when she was longing for intimacy, she would dress up in provocative clothing and post pictures online.

Within minutes, she would be getting compliments from strangers and her private messages would be flooded with comments from men she had never met.

Calling the experience her ‘ultimate fantasy’, she said: ‘The sex was so exciting. It was the buzz of making out with a stranger that had me hooked.’

But Laurie revealed at the height of her sex addiction, she rarely paid attention to her own personal safety.

Laurie called sleeping with strangers ‘the ultimate fantasy’ as she revealed she was ‘hooked’ on the buzz

She admitted: ‘It terrifies me now but I didn’t really vet anyone, and sometimes I would go back to a bloke’s place without having a clue who he was.

‘Anything could have happened. I still can’t quite believe I did that.’

She recalled one terrifying encounter which left her ‘genuinely frightened’, and ultimately led her to seeking help for her addiction.

Since joining Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, Laurie, who has a two-year-old son Henry with her ex-boyfriend Ian, has been celibate for six months

At first she said the stranger was complimentary but when they got into bed, he suddenly changed and became ‘too rough’ for her leaving her ‘genuinely frightened’.

As soon as the sex was over, Laurie left the house, and now admits the experience was ‘a wake up call’.

Laurie, who has a two-year-old son Henry with her ex-boyfriend Ian, took the self-diagnosis quiz on the Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous website.

Laurie also admitted her past behaviour ‘terrifies’ her now, as she said she would sometimes go back to someone’s house ‘without a clue who he was’

Regular meetings with other addicts came soon after, and Laurie signed up to their 12-step programme to cope with sex addiction.

When she began the programme, two weeks was the longest she had ever gone without having sex.

But since attending the meetings, she has managed to stay celibate for six months.

She has now banned herself from posting anything sexy on Instagram as part of her programme, admitting that a part of herself will always be addicted.
