An American comedian has shared her family’s absolutely revolting salad recipe, which has left Twitter users horrified and appalled.

The large dish includes a mix of lettuce, onions, carrots, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs — and, inexplicably, green grapes.
Yikes! Comedian Lisa Curry tweeted a screengrab from Facebook on June 19. Her cousin’s husband, part of the family ‘in charge of Thanksgiving dinner,’ shared a photo of a salad
Oh no! Ingredients visible included lettuce, tomato, onion, carrots, hard-boiled egg, and grapes
In what world? Some Facebook commenters even complimented it, saying it looked ‘delicious’
‘My cousin’s husband just posted this without a hint of irony,’ Lisa wrote. ‘These are the people in charge of Thanksgiving dinner in my family and my friends wonder why I don’t go home for the holidays.’
The bizarre salad was mixed in an aluminum baking tin, showing enough to be shared by several people.
While most of the ingredients go together just fine, the presence of grapes among the hard-boiled eggs and vegetables has thousands of people aghast.
‘Yes! Those ARE green grapes with hard boiled eggs!!!’ Lisa wrote.
‘Also no dressing or herbs/spices. Just chopped vegetables and grapes and eggs,’ she added. ‘I’m nauseous looking at this.’
Others reacted similarly.
‘Are there also RED ONIONS in there?!’ asked comedian and My Favorite Murder podcast host Karen Kilgariff.
‘Imagine GRAPES in the same bite as HARDBOILED EGG,’ wrote Buffy the Vampire’s Tom Lenk.
‘There’s not a single ingredient there that pairs with any other ingredient. It takes talent to be that off,’ tweeted another commenter.
‘This looks like the tray the zookeeper takes into the lemur enclosure for the big feeding time show at the zoo,’ one more observed.
‘The willful precision with which this was assembled is craven and upsetting,’ tweeted yet another.
Please no! They can’t believe that someone would put these ingredients together
‘I can’t get over the foil pan that implies this will be taken somewhere to be shared. Or maybe given as a gift to a new parent or someone experiencing loss,’ said one more.
‘It looks like they tried to make a meal from the list of random s*** in the Frasier theme song,’ one quipped.
‘Don’t add the fish skin and black jelly beans until it’s ready to serve,’ joked yet another commenter.
Lisa also shared a screengrab of the comments on the Facebook post, showing several people saying it looked ‘great’ and ‘delicious’.
‘Let’s be honest,’ she concluded. ‘Without the grapes, this is still trash. The grapes make it a crime.’
