Princess Beatrice has been making news with her engagement to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The elder daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson got engaged last month in Italy, and people cannot stop talking about their upcoming wedding.

The Sussexes reportedly are not on good terms with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie

Many onlookers believe that Princess Eugenie was not happy about Prince Harry and Markle’s baby announcement stealing her spotlight. Sarah Ferguson got involved as well.
A source said: “You’ll recall that [Princess Eugenie’s] mum dropped a treasure trove of Eugenie’s wedding pics just hours after. It was obviously done on purpose as revenge.”
More recently, Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi just after the Sussexes made news for showing off their baby on their Africa tour.
“The timing of Beatrice’s announcement was incredibly rude, given it stole the spotlight back from the important causes Harry and Meghan were trying to promote,” the insider said. “Of course, they were furious, but it’s the kind of pettiness they’ve come to expect these days.”
Princess Beatrice allegedly does not want to invite Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to her wedding
Given the war that is allegedly going on between the York sisters and the Sussexes, it is not surprising that Princess Beatrice might not want Prince Harry and Markle at her wedding, especially since the couple’s presence could overshadow her big day.
“Beatrice has confessed to friends that if she gets her way, they won’t be invited,” the source shared.
Is it possible for Princess Beatrice to not invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?
It is customary for royals to invite senior members of the family to their weddings. Prince Harry is above Princess Beatrice in the line of succession, so it would be expected for him and his wife to be invited.
However, Princess Beatrice is also ninth in line to the throne, which means that she has some freedom to ignore traditions and protocol. Her fiance is a private citizen, so she could actually choose to have a more intimate, private wedding instead of a big one that attracts public attention.
This way, Princess Beatrice might not even be required to invite Prince Harry and Markle. In fact, there have been reports saying that she is thinking about having her wedding in a more low-key place rather than one of the royal properties.
An insider told the Daily Mail: “Beatrice has said she and Edo are looking at alternative venues because she wants something different… There have been three big Royal weddings there in the past year or so and I’m not sure that’s what Bea wants. Edo has a child, there’s the situation with his ex, and Beatrice might just feel something more low-key might be more fitting.”
